German Error Message: There’s A Place (FensePost Premiere)

German Error Message returns with their first newly recorded material since a May 2011 single called In Comforting. The album, The Lifting, features seven new tracks and is available as a limited (to 25, so hurry!) cassette from Tent Revivalist Records and digitally from the same German Error Message bandcamp page. Being that my typical night consists of hitting the sack at around 10pm, and that my new radio show is Friday nights from 10pm to midnight, I figured that my second show would center around the theme of sleep. So I pieced together a playlist of bedroom pop, chill wave, dreamy shoegaze and what I’ve dubbed as psychedelic ambiance.

German Error Message is a lo-fi experimental folk band fronted by Paul Kintzing. Though the band has been around since 2004, it wasn’t until more recently that they’ve started releasing music. And with their self-titled EP in 2008, the flood gates opened. The subsequent debut LP, To Carry Alongside, was released in early 2010, followed by a January 2011 release of and EP called SPPLIT and a February 2011 release of After The Warmth.
